Establishing Rhythm: Spiritual Focus in a Mundane World
Discovering your spiritual home in the Island of Avalon is a beautiful awakening for many women. But so often, that awakening, especially when experienced through intensives or festivals — time spent immersed in Sisterhood — is hard to maintain when we return home to “mundane life”. How do we keep that passion for our spirituality alive in daily life? How do we experience the Priestess Isle when we are not surrounded by our sisters?
Join us as we discuss how to find rhythm and balance in every day moments, and how to enrich your life through daily spiritual practice. Through discussion and meditation, we will immerse ourselves in the ninefold energetic of the ritualist. Using that energy, we will then craft small daily rituals that can be used to heighten your connection to the Avalonian tradition, and help you carry the priestess isle in your heart and mind as you walk through the world.

Reclaiming Her Power: Embodying Rhiannon’s Grace
Our world is at a precarious point in its history. The threat to our Mother Earth and our freedoms grows by the day and adversity continually challenges those whose fiery hearts blaze with love and compassion for all. Guardians are rising, answering the call for love, peace and justice, and yet the firm grip of those who greedily hold the power and the continued injustice suffered by the world’s marginalized dishearten and disempower the Guardians, weakening their fight and dimming their light.
Graceful, balanced and firmly rooted in Her Sovereignty, the Avalonian Goddess Rhiannon stands ready to guide Her Daughters toward reclaiming their power. She who answers injustice with compassion, humiliation with grace, fear with faith, can help us to remember our courage, reignite our inner flame, and reclaim our crowns of Sovereignty so that we may continue our good work in the world with Her blessing.
Join us for an in-depth exploration of the Goddess Rhiannon as we look to Her sacred story for inspiration and empowerment, and learn to call back our own power lost. We will drum, chant and shake the earth to call back what is ours and complete our ritual with an anointing and empowering of the Great Queens within.

Spinning with Intention
Over the years of her Avalonian practice, Alicia has incorporated many types of artisanry into her work. This includes incorporating drop-spinning in ritual space. It builds into trance work, and especially work with Arianrhod and Branwen- our polarity Goddesses. Learning to drop spin, and gaining facility with the process makes it easier to incorporate it into ritual. This workshop is open to beginners and experienced spinners. We’ll work with fiber from Wales provided by the teacher. Please bring your own top-whorl spindle.

Self-care Nature Walk and Tree Meditation
Come take a walk on the wild side as we explore the natural landscape of the Arnot forest, identifying edible and medicinal species as we go. Learn how the plants can aid us in our self-care, especially in trying times. We will pause to meditate with the trees and make a new green friend or two. Deepen your symbiotic relationship with the plants as you tune into their ancient wisdom and healing energy.

Descending into Darkness
In many ancient cultures the labyrinth was seen as a gateway or portal through which we can ritually experience death and rebirth. As the year moves toward darkness, we too must prepare to face our own darkness and find the wisdom hidden there. Descent into darkness is an archetypal theme in many Goddess mythologies, like Inanna moving through the seven gates of the underworld or Kore descending to Hades to become Queen of Darkness. Only by embracing our shadows can we become whole and stand fully in our power. In this workshop we will use the 7 circuit classical labyrinth to part the veil and descend into shadows, returning with a missing piece of our deeper wisdom.
Tracy Andryc has been sharing her love of the labyrinth since her first walk on its path in 1998. She sees the labyrinth as a universal tool that can be used in a magical/spiritual context, regardless of your religious path. Tracy is a Veriditas Certified Labyrinth Facilitator, Certified Birth Doula, Reiki Master and owner of One Path Labyrinth Ventures. She takes a holistic approach to her labyrinth work by incorporating other modalities such as crystal grids, sound and sacred dance. For almost two decades, she has facilitated workshops and rituals on the labyrinth and other topics at venues throughout New England. Tracy lives in Massachusetts, with her husband, three adult kids and three step-kids, happily playing with clay.
The Power of Myth: The Hera’s Journey
Many are familiar with Joseph Campbell’s monumental work in Comparative Mythology, especially his identification of the hero’s journey or the ‘monomyth’. Campbell identified that the stories found in cultures around the world had similar – or even identical – structure, indicating an undeniable universality of the main theme or teaching. This theme of the ‘hero’s journey’ outlines the key stages each hero must go through for his initiation into herohood.
But the language of the monomyth presupposes one significant detail that speaks perhaps more to Campbell’s generation than to relevance in the 21st century. The hero’s journey is presented from a masculine perspective and has always been approached as applicable regardless of gender. If a female protagonist is dropped into the story, the mythic structure has always remained unchanged.
Powerful as the hero’s journey is as a mythic structure, it does not speak to a key monumental difference between the hero’s journey and the hera’s journey. This experiential workshop presents a revisioning of Campbell’s monomyth with the particularities of a feminine call to the adventure of reclaiming wholeness. With a combination of lecture, storytelling and creative expression, we will illuminate the signposts that mark the hera’s journey from containment to freedom and empowerment.
